Rehearsal will begin at 1:00 on Sunday with all LVW members gathering in the auditorium for opening announcements and an overview of the day's rehearsal. Please plan on arriving at least 15 to 20 minutes early. We will conclude all of our activities by 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. Please check with your school’s director/LVW coordinator for travel plans to and from the rehearsal.
Please RSVP for the rehearsal, even if you are unable to attend but intend to participate in 2013. The RSVP form is found on the LVW website's homepage at www.lutheranvanguard.org.
There is a grade school basketball tournament the day of our rehearsal, so you may have to park a little further from the Commons entrance than you are used to. This rehearsal will focus primarily on music, since we will not have use of the gyms due to the tournament. There is a chance that we will be able to use the small gym if championship games are played in the large gym.
There will be no LVW meal provided on Sunday, so you may want to pack a brown bag supper for the return trip to your school. Again, check with your school's transportation, as some groups may stop at a fast food restaurant after rehearsal.
Please wear comfortable shorts or sweats for rehearsal. We may have the opportunity for marching/visual rehearsals if a gym becomes available. You will also need a pair of tennis shoes for use on the gym floor. You may also want to bring a water bottle.
Don’t forget your instrument and music! If you will be using an LVW instrument (horn, baritone/euphonium, tuba), you will need to bring your own mouthpiece. Reed players, please make sure you have a few working reeds for the rehearsal.
If this is your first rehearsal for 2013, you will be given your music and other LVW equipment on Sunday.
