Please RSVP for the rehearsal, even if you are unable to attend but intend to participate in 2014. The RSVP form is found on the LVW website's homepage at www.lutheranvanguard.org or you can access it HERE. If you are riding the Shoreland Bus, please be sure to indicate that on the RSVP.
Some of our students have not yet registered for LVW 2014. Please click on the "LVW 2014 Online Registration Form" link on the homepage. Once you have registered, you will begin to receive the billing statements and other important information.
Following the May rehearsal we will make available housing forms on the website. FVL members will be hosting students from other areas for the nights in June when the calendar says "host homes". FVL families should decide now if you will be able to host students, and if so, how many you will be able to host. We will need to host approximately 25-30 students from outside the FVL area. LVW members, it is not too soon to begin figuring out housing groups. There will be a place on the form to indicate housing pairs and with whom you would like to stay if known.
You may bring forms and payments to this rehearsal. We have about half of our student forms already. Thank you for your cooperation in getting the forms in on time! If you still need to turn in any forms (Medical, Permission, Conduct), information for the forms can be found on the "Membership Info" page.
There will be no LVW meal provided on Sunday, so you may want to pack a brown bag supper for the return trip to your school. Again, check with your school's transportation, as some groups may stop at a fast food restaurant after rehearsal.
Please wear comfortable shorts or sweats for rehearsal. You will also need a pair of tennis shoes for use on the gym floor. You may also want to bring a water bottle or water jug. If it is nice enough, we may go outside for music or visual rehearsal. Please dress with that in mind.
We will be fitting for new shoes for new members and returning members who need to order new shoes and were not at the April rehearsal. Returning members, if you have not tried your shoes recently, do that before Sunday so you know whether you need to order a new pair or not. The black marching shoe for percussion and wind players is still $34 per pair. If new shoes are ordered, the amount will be added to the next statement.
Also at the May rehearsal we will be taking pictures for the popular Photo Buttons and Photo Magnets. Click HERE for a link to the photo button order form. Please print and fill out the form and bring it with you to the rehearsal. If paying by check, information is included on the form as to how it should be made out. Please remember to bring cash or check for the pictures on May 4!
